A Love Affair Winston A Love Affair Winston

The woman in the emerald dress

We drank and sang the night away and when no one was watching, she kissed me; I told her it was a dangerous game she was playing, and she kissed me again.

Before the event I asked what she would be wearing; I picked out a green tie to match her emerald dress.

We drank and sang the night away and when no one was watching she kissed me; I told her it was a dangerous game she was playing, and she kissed me again.

Love affairs seem to last forever but always end too soon; they come with a certain madness, which I suppose is why they are so intense.

I told her she was my great love and she thanked me for that; she left our bed anyway.

The madness has faded, and the love has found a special place tucked away; cherished like a fine jewel.

The woman in the emerald dress; I will always remember our first kiss.
